Harare, Zimbabwe: Zimbabwe National Covid Action Trust (ZINCAT) today announced its donation of 1000 units of PPE to Vic Falls, Hwange, Harare Hospital, Parirenyatwa and Wilkins Hospital. This is a major move for ZINCAT on its mission to assist health workers on the front-line, fighting the Coronavirus in Zimbabwe, and comes off the heels of their donation of a ventilator to Wilkins hospital.

This was our way of keeping the capes on the superheroes.” says Dr. N. Mararire, a board member of ZINCAT. “We’re in this together, and with the help of Zimbabweans around the world, we will continue to support the Covid-19 effort in Zimbabwe.

This news comes in the wake of recent initiatives and accomplishments of the trust, including:

  • Diagnostic Tool (https://zincat.org/diagnostic-tool); remotely collecting anonymous information from people who may believe they have Covid-19,
  • The launch of ZINCAT.org, aimed at educating the general public on Covid-19.

Knowledge is power. Without it, we have no hope of fighting the Coronavirus. But only together, can we beat it.

About ZINCAT: ZINCAT was formed by concerned citizens of Zimbabwe, to harness our compassionate community spirit and resources, to respond to the Covid-19 threat.
